Telluride artist, Brittany Miller, has been creating art inspired by the San Juan Mountains since planting her feet here 20 years ago.
There has been a distinct evolution in her path to becoming a realist. From commission portraits, to recognizing a calling to investigate her own imagination more thoroughly.
By exploring various mediums & muses through the years, Miller’s work is continuously full of symbolism, hoping to provoke reflection from the viewer. Over the years, Brittany has created mixed media works on reclaimed wood - as well as, experimenting with small scale installations.
Now Miller has returned to more traditional means creating narrative paintings and drawings. Miller’s recent paintings are colorful and dynamic, while in contrast, her drawings are quite simple, but all works continuously hold a space for introspection by the means of imagery & metaphor.
