Anneaux Bleus was founded by Amina Bettayeb, an Algiers artist residing in Colorado. She is a former fashion designer who trained in Paris under Asem Eren and was accepted at the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, she also studied illus-tration as her original training was in Graphic design. Her pieces are inspired by her Amazigh (indigenous North African) heritage and the complex history of her ancestors. She uses clas-sic Mediterranean techniques such as filigree fused with a contemporary artistic vision. She has a preference for mixed metals and a love of color. Being from Algiers, the Mediterranean Sea was a constant presence in Amina's life, and it became the inspiration for Anneaux Bleus, which is French for Blue Rings. Her designs are light, sophisticated and elegant, with a timeless style. They are meticulously handcrafted by her personally and are built to last. Each piece is carefully made by hand from scratch and is released in limited releases, which makes every one of them unique in its own way.
