“The rich diversity of life in my country, Brazil, has always been my greatest source of inspiration. I am fascinated by the many colors, shapes and materials that nature gives us. My work is based on this diversity and versatility, combining different metals and gemstones with varied types of natural products like straw, feathers, leaves, seeds and wood.” - Sandra Frias

Sandra Frias is native to Brazil but has studied jewelry making internationally. She learned metal design under the renowned jeweler Mary Lee Hu at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has exhibited her work throughout Europe and South America and has won a number of awards, including the Jewelry Award from the Brazilian Gemological and Metals Institute.
