Slate Gray Gallery presents Intuitive Alchemy featuring Karen Scharer. At first glance, the vibrant colors of Karen’s paintings lure the viewer in. Her abstract works are the product of her surroundings, the events, and people she observes and interacts with. She works intuitively, ultimately outputting everything she absorbs around her. Some influences – like the stunning beauty of Colorado – are overwhelmingly positive; other influences of tragic events and life changes are less so. It all contributes to the work; editing out the negative would be less authentic. Her intent – to inspire, uplift, and convey a sense of celebration and gratitude. Scharer’s work is transformation driven by intuition.
